Jordan Tawney – Special Consultant

Jordan Tawney is an affordable housing finance expert specializing in LIHTC and multi-family loan underwriting. She is the owner of Bellera LLC, which serves as a special consultant to Astoria for LIHTC and Virginia Housing loan applications.

Jordan most recently worked at Virginia Housing, where she held multiple positions as a development officer in the Lending department and an allocation officer in the Tax Credit department. Prior to Virginia Housing, she held roles in multi-family asset management and capital planning and finance for hotels. Across each role, she has been deeply involved in process improvement, training, and the development of more efficient and effective systems. Her experience working across public and private sectors allows her to navigate complex projects with clarity and collaboration while helping clients achieve meaningful results.

Jordan is a Virginia native and holds a bachelor’s degree from Virginia Tech and a master’s degree from the University of Virginia. She is actively involved in the Richmond community, serving on the Better Housing Coalition Young Professionals Board, the Women’s Affordable Housing Network, and as President of her HOA. Jordan believes in balancing financial performance with social purpose, advancing projects and solutions that build stability, opportunity, and growth for local communities.”
